How to pause charge and discharge

I see in the app under manual control, you can now pause charge and discharge of the battery. What setting in the interface would this need to be to replicate this please? I could see it could be useful to pause this early on in sunny days to leave capacity to soak up clipping and anything beyond any export limits.

Unfortunately that's not a function available through modbus as far as I am aware.

If it is and someone can provide the registers I will add it. But I don't have batteries so it won't be me who is able to discover that.

Assuming the rate control isn't just the easiest way of doing it, if you were able to guide me in how to collect the information, I could use the SE app to put the battery in this mode and we could see what changed in the registers.

I typically set „Storage Control Mode“ to „Remote Control“ and afterwards I can set charge and discharge limits to pause charge (limit=0) and discharge of the battery.

That's interesting as the default limits on mine show as 11400W even though the battery is only capable of 5000W. I've not (yet) played with them - had someone assumed they were not effective considering the missmatch.

Having you managed to integrate these in to predbat? It shows in the log this charge rate isn't relevant for the SE inverter, but clearly it would be. I might have a play if not.

I'm not using predabt but manage my battery through home assistant automations. The charge and discharge limits are working very well for me. Here's what it looks like on my system when charging and discharging are paused:

The app is very limited in its battery control states so I don't use it, however if you want to pause all battery import and export then using this integration to control the battery and setting "Solar Power Only (Off)" will do that.
