Swimming instantly on water

I understand this section is for bugs and glitches, but I felt like reporting something.
When I was playing on Fabric 1.20.1, I noticed that I start "swimming" when not submerged underwater.
(Don't know any better way to say that). I understand this is probably a key feature in Legacy Console.

That is why I wanted to ask if it's possible to make it an option? I mostly didn't play Legacy Console past 1.12 so I'm used to the original water system, as well as it possibly conflicts against Nostalgic Tweak's "Prevent Swimming" option.

If this is probably the wrong place to ask this let me know where I can say this, or if it's possible to make such request, that's all.

Note: other than that tho, the mod is amazing!
