Thanks!
Prebuild package worked for me on Python 2.7
Python 3 throws this error:
ImportError: dynamic module does not define module export function (PyInit_cv2)

Hey were u able to install opencv as lambda layer ?

Yes, I was, but only if the lambda is developed in Python 2.7.
