validate should be verify in most places

We use verify in almost all our libraries, and now validate is being used in a lot places, even when we verify the signatures of stuff. I prefer to keep using verify to stay consistent

@TimoGlastra verify can be easily used everywhere, except when the class extends Sign1 which has its own verify method. Would it be ok to rename the verify function in Sign1 by verifySignature so there's no conflict?
