Object generation and placement

Hi All,

I am working on a script that can generate objects from existing object in AEDT environment. I am using a existing object (parent) as a reference to create new object (child). Child should be placed at the face center which is in contact with PCB.

I am not able to access any object imported using IDF or ODB++ format. so I am not able to access PCB co-ordinates directly. I tried with fetching centroid of face index for both child and parent and than computing translation vector for moving child object. Face index are highly dependent on the way the objects are generated. So identifying face index of bottom surface (surface in contact with PCB) is difficult.

Sharing with this community here in hope of getting some solution for automated object generation.
