Iphone opens apple pay when scanning virtual boltcard #3

When scanning a virtual boltcard using an iphone the list of credit card opens on the iphone and a message "double tap to pay" or similar is displayed.
Reportedly this also happens when a WoS POS is waiting for a payment.
