Describe your issue as much as you can

Hi Bitnami Support,

We followed the above link to reset password. We couldn't reset the DB password.

We used default user name and password. Our VMS is hosted in AWS.

Bitnami version: 5.1.4-0

Thanks & Regards,
Ye

Bitnami version: 5.1.4-0

MySQL (and LAMP) 5.1.x was deprecated many years ago. Our guide works for new versions. You will need to take a look at the official documentation and try resetting the password by following those instructions.

Hi Bitnami Support Team,

May I ask if we provision Bitnami Redmine v6.0.2, is MariaDB version 11.4.4?

Because the current issue we are encountering is also same MariaDB version for Bitnami version 5.1.4.

Can you check please?

Hi Bitnami Support Team,

A little background on the issue that we are facing.

Currently we are using Bitnami 5.1.0-0 running Apache 2.4.58 using MariaDB.
This version of Apache is affected by multiple vulnerabilities, and we were advised to upgrade to Apache version 2.4.60 or later.

So, we tried to install Bitnami 5.1.4 which has Apache 2.4.62.
However, we are facing issue when migrating the MariaDB from Bitnami 5.1.0 to 5.1.4.
The root password is not allowing access to the DB. We are also unsuccessful in changing the root password.

Please guide us on how we can migrate the MariaDB from Bitnami 5.1.0 to 5.1.4.
Is there any product limitation we should be aware of?

Thank you!

T.Dhakshayani

Hi Bitnami Support Team,

We would like to follow up on our above clarification.

Also, is it possible to migrate the MariaDB from Bitnami 5.1.0 to 5.1.4 without changing the root password?

We would appreciate if we can get into a call to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Thank you!
