Upon starting chrome the Vault tab keeps spinning forever. #13355

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Launch the browser.
  2. Click the extension icon.
  3. The Vault tab never finishes loading.
  4. Restarting Chrome a few times completely fixes it.
  5. Tested on two different Chrome profiles, happens randomly but issue persists.

Expected Result

The Vault should finish loading eventually.

Actual Result

It keeps spinning forever.

Additional Context

I'm a subscription user which has been onboard for a long time, the extension worked perfectly fine in the past, this mess started with this UI overhall.

Yes, like I mentioned, it eventually works, I noticed that after waiting 5 minutes or more at some point invoking the extension displays the logins again, but this is not normal, I'm running a fast machine (14600K + 16GB RAM) and this never happened before.

@Krychaz FYI, there are a number of users on the Community Forum reporting similar behavior in Chrome and Brave browsers running recent versions of the browser extension:

One more thing, can you please share your KDF Algorithms settings? Are you perhaps using Argon2id?

@Krychaz I get the same "spinning circle" behavior when unlocking, whether my account KDF settings are set to Argon2id (2 iterations, parallelism 1, memory 256 MiB) or to PBKDF2-SHA256 (600,000 iterations).
