Moving functionality

Hey @blackbeam , I just started to implement a Mysql oplog trailer and the common module is exactly what I needed!

If I notice additional functionality in the main mysql crate that would be nice to extract to _common, do you mind if I do PRs for that?

That would be great even if it is not strictily tied to mysql or mysql_async crate (like replication primitives for example).
