Is mysql2 v0.3.18 compatible with MySQL 8.4.x?

Please help us.
We plan to upgrade our MySQL server from 8.0.41 to 8.4.x while keeping the mysql2 gem at v0.3.18
Also, we will keep using the mysql_native_password authentication plugin (not switching to caching_sha2_password).

Question:
• Is mysql2 v0.3.18 known to be compatible with MySQL 8.4.x?
• Are there any known issues or blockers with 8.4 for this gem version?

There are CI tests on 8.4.x. To the extent of the written tests it is compatible.
