AUR packages haven't been updated in a while and are stuck on release 1.3.1.

Please add the missing packages to AUR.

That is correct, it is automatically updated by Goreleaser.
This project is the library, the binary (collection of completers) is carapace-sh/carapace-bin.
Which understandably can be a bit confusing.
