Using an approach similar to here, it'd be really nice to set up an API / service / build script to generate automatic social share cards for blog posts.
Currently, we go through a fairly manual process to customize cards for research articles. Given that we also select custom photographic headers etc. for research articles, which in turn match the cards, that's probably fine for now.
For blog posts, however, we are deliberately trying to streamline the production process as much as possible. For now, that has meant using a generic share card, to avoid having to make one with. With a bit of tooling, we should be able to have reasonably nice looking custom cards for blog posts, with zero additional work during authoring and production.
