1. Workshop details
- Audience: SustAI CDT
- Format: online
- Attendees: 14
- Instructors: Steve Crouch, Sam Mangham
2. What did the Instructors find worked well when teaching the lesson?
The general structure and content worked well online, particularly when being delivered in half-day sessions, since this left a half-day to prepare any cohort-specific changes depending on how things went.
3. What did the Instructors find that could be improved in the lesson?
Nothing relevant to the course material specifically, more with our own delivery for this particular cohort.
Issues mainly centered around first day, in particular, our own slides need compressing to a maximum of 30 mins (e.g. remove duplication, unnecessary forward references, etc.)
Biggest issue was not being able to complete all content for each day (with first day being notably challenging with this particular cohort).
4. Do the Instructors have any other feedback on the lesson?
No response
5. Were the Instructors able to teach the whole lesson in the time available?
No
6. Tell us more about the lesson duration
Biggest problems on day 1: not enough time for some learners; bell curve of episode completion peaked at sections 1.4 & 1.5. Reduction of intro slides, pre-workshop installation surgery, and starting on time despite latecomers would help.
7. Please share any feedback collected from Learners during the lesson pilot.
In per-session feedback across all sessions, on average learners particularly felt that the sessions met expectations and were relevant to their needs, although they found the material slightly too difficult. They also felt they would be very likely to use the learned skills in their work, and that the sessions were well thought-out and organised. 95% would recommend the course to a colleague.
8. Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
No response
