Security Policy

We take the security of Code Cell very seriously. This document outlines the versions we currently support and provides guidelines on how to report any security vulnerabilities.

Supported Versions

The following versions of Code Cell are actively maintained with security updates. Please ensure you’re using a supported version to receive the latest security patches.

If you're using an unsupported version, please consider upgrading to a supported version to maintain optimal security.

Reporting a Vulnerability

We encourage our users and the community to report any security vulnerabilities they may discover. Timely reporting allows us to address and resolve issues quickly, contributing to a safer and more secure experience for everyone.

How to Report

  1. Contact Us: Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Security Vulnerability Report - Code Cell."

  2. Include Essential Information: In your email, please provide as much detail as possible to help us understand and verify the vulnerability:

    • A clear and concise description of the vulnerability and its potential impact.
    • Steps or code snippets to reproduce the vulnerability.
    • Any additional documentation, screenshots, or logs that demonstrate the issue.

  3. Response Time: Our security team will acknowledge receipt of your report within 5 business days. You can expect regular updates on the status of the vulnerability as it is assessed, validated, and resolved.

  4. After Assessment: If the vulnerability is confirmed, we will work to resolve it as quickly as possible. You will be informed of the timeline and any follow-up actions, and we may request further information to support our investigation.

Expected Actions and Acknowledgments

Once a reported vulnerability has been confirmed and resolved:

  • We will provide public acknowledgment of the reporter’s contribution, if desired.
  • Necessary patches or updates will be applied to the affected versions, and users will be encouraged to upgrade as soon as possible.
