@lhmarsden @DocOtak @feggleton @sadielbartholomew
Folks - you've shown interest on working on the website and making more publicity for CF. Are you interested in joining me in adding a banner or something to the website announcing our having won the Open Science Recognition Prize?

I like the idea of advertising that CF won a prize on the site for sure, though as for helping I have too much on at the moment. Sorry Daniel.

Tell you what - I'm also motivated to let this sit for a little while so I can focus my CF time on getting us setup to make the roadmap. So what I'll do is setup a reminder to retrn to this in January. How's that sound? :)

And just to be clear - if you don't have time in January that's fine, then I'll take care of it, but it's funner to do together so I'd rather at least have the door open for collaboration. So no pressure.

I think that looks great - thanks Luke!

When we take down that flash message, I think it'll make sense to move that info somewhere else but for now it's a nice way to give visibility to this important achievement from the community.

I agree with @erget that the AGU announcement on the home page looks very good. Thanks a lot, Luke @lhmarsden! I suggest that we ought to decide now when it should be taken down. What do you think?

PS. When it is removed as a banner, it the same sentence could easily go somewhere else in the text on the home page.

Looks like the award was officially awarded in December. I think this sort of message can be there for 1-2 months, so perhaps take it down in early February?

Or replace it with something else sooner if we have something else relevant to share. What do you think?

That sounds fine to me. Thanks.

Hi - I think the message is great.

Taking it down in a couple of months is fine, but couldn't we leave it there until we have new message? We could have a new message for standard name table and conventions releases (I'm sure that's already been suggested!), as well as anything else, so there'd be one at least every few months, anyway.

I thought it would be useful to have a rule to avoid some message staying there indefinitely and becoming embarrassingly out-of-date, because it's not clear when or whether it should be removed. Longer than two months would be OK. What would you prefer, David? - three or four months, say?
