Description
Hi MiCall Development Team,
First of all, thank you for developing and maintaining such an excellent tool!
We are currently using MiCall deployed via Docker and have noticed that the integrated HIV Drug Resistance Database (HIVdb) is version 9.4.
According to the official Stanford HIVdb Program website (https://hivdb.stanford.edu/), the latest version of HIVdb has been updated to 9.8. The new version typically includes the latest drug resistance mutation data, algorithm improvements, and interpretations for new drugs, which is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of drug resistance analysis results.
We would like to inquire if there is a plan to update HIVdb to version 9.8 or a newer version in a future release of MiCall. Alternatively, is there a recommended and safe procedure for users to update the HIVdb version within an existing Docker deployment?
We understand that directly replacing the database files might lead to compatibility issues. If you need any help with testing, we would be more than happy to contribute.
Looking forward to your reply. Thank you again for your hard work!
