The current README with a manually written app table needs to be replaced with the documentation of the app directory that includes

  • instructions for submitting an app
  • how the directory is organized
  • how to "pull" from prebuilt images using the information in the app metadata

The current table includes columns related to evaluation, but I think they should be separated.

I think the best place to put the documentation is README.md and then be included in the docs/index.md.
