Laraveled.com Project Plan

Core Concept

  • Purpose: A directory for showcasing projects built on Laravel, with user profiles and social features to foster interaction.
  • Tagline: "Discover, Share, and Celebrate Laravel Creations!"
  • Hook: "Get Laraveled!" - A fun and celebratory vibe with confetti animations.

Key Features

User Flow

  1. Guest View:
    • Browse directory of projects (with filters like category, tags, popularity).
    • View project details (limited details visible for guests).
  2. User Registration/Login:
    • Simplified email-based registration or OAuth (GitHub, Google, etc.).
  3. Submit a Project:
    • Add project title, URL, description, tags, and a thumbnail image.
    • Optional: Add a link to GitHub repository.
  4. Celebrate Submissions:
    • Confetti animation with "You just got Laraveled!" on submission success.
  5. Project Details Page:
    • Display project info, links, and optional screenshots.

Laraveled.com is a platform for showcasing applications built using the Laravel ecosystem. Users can upload showcases, interact with each other, and track statistics related to their projects. This document outlines the features and improvements for the dashboard and overall user experience, including ideas for responsiveness, design, and functionality.

Key Features

1. Dashboard

  • Quick Create Button: Add a prominent button on the dashboard for users to quickly create and upload a new showcase project.
    • Example: A floating button labeled “+ New Showcase” at the top-right corner or integrated into the Bento grid.
  • Bento Grid Layout:
    • Display user-specific and global statistics in a visually appealing, responsive Bento grid.
    • Each grid item will provide useful information, such as:
      • Number of projects uploaded globally.
      • User’s own project count.
      • Average rating of user’s projects.
      • Most popular technologies used across all projects.
      • Notifications about new comments, questions, or ratings for the user’s projects.

2. Showcase Management

  • Showcase Upload:

    • Users can upload a showcase with the following details:
      • Title.
      • Description.
      • Screenshots or videos.
      • Technologies used (e.g., Laravel, Livewire, Vue, etc.).
      • GitHub or live demo links.
    • Allow users to tag their project with relevant categories (e.g., CMS, e-commerce, SaaS).

  • Interactivity:

    • Users can leave comments, ask questions, and rate showcased projects.
    • Star-based rating system (1 to 10):
      • Users can click on stars to grade a project.
      • Ratings should calculate averages and update in real-time.
