(Official Definition) - Docker Universal Control Plane (UCP) is the enterprise-grade cluster management solution from Docker. You install it on-premises or in your virtual private cloud, and it helps you manage your Docker cluster and applications through a single interface.
There are lot of things thst you can do with UCP out of the box including Build, Deploy and Monitor.
When you create a Dcoker Container Cluster of 100 virtual machines, UCP will act as a centralized place to manage your cluster with graphical interface. It has Built in security and authencitcation which is also used for DTR. It has enriching API's provided by Docker which can be used within the code to interact with UCP and making the required changes via rest calls.
