there should be a version of this that goes over the equivalent commands and actions using git on the command line.

could inline the content so that you see the desktop and the CLI equivalent together as collapsible sections or a completely separate file so the primary README.md links to cli.md or gh-desktop.md (if we decide to go with #14)
