I would prefer to use ENVIRONMENT VARIABLEs in help.md.

Like MYSQL_PASSWORD and MYSQL_USERNAME.

This issue with tables in help files is that current go-md2man in Fedora is not able to transform them into roff.

I won't fix this issue now because of what Tomas said, but I'll leave it open until go-md2man in Fedora has the capability to transform tables.

I know that upstream go-md2man can do that, so maybe just contact Fedora maintainer and ask him to rebase the package.
