Deduplicating Toolbox image content with host OSTree on same Fedora Atomic version

Hi,

On Fedora Atomic systems, if a Toolbox container uses the same Fedora version as the host, is there any way (or plans) to deduplicate/share file content with the host OSTree repository?

For example, could a Toolbox rootfs be based on or overlay the host OSTree repo checkout/object store to avoid duplicating identical files?

If not, what are the main blockers?
