Much of the previous discussion occurred here. I'm mostly just restating the information discussed there and moving it to a more organized place.
I believe their should be an in-game & in-character method to allow checking of space law. Mostly for command staff, security, and lawyers, thought it could be crew wide. The hope is this would make quick referencing of space-law more possible for those without a second monitor for example. This would also give more value/use to security's PDA as a whole, which I don't think is a bad thing.
The app could be as "simple" as displaying our own space law webpage whenever thats up, or for now wizden's, otherwise it may be a pain to keep maintained and kept consistent with space law. I'd rather not have to add a rule or tell people "The websites version of space law will always be up to date" ideally they would both be the same, which I think finding a way to just display the webpage would be preferable, though I don't know how much that is viable mechanically or performance wise.
Additional context This isn't a bad way of quickly displaying a abbreviated version of charges, which could be a good way of implementing "here is how you can make sure the charge is real, and how long you should be sentencing them" but still requiring people to read up on the full page for the specifics or details (which they should be doing anyway.).
Lank thinks we should probably include space law in some form in the guidebook, while I'm not sure thats needed in addition to the PDA, its still worth discussing and bringing up though.

So, after making the cryoguidebook, I feel decently comfortable doing the guidebook side of this, though I don't think there is a feasible way to have it auto-update. Do we want a guidebook entry if we aren't certain we can maintain it to be the same?
It would be relatively simple to keep the document updated in-game with a simple PR for the time being, but I can see about linking it to an external source if that would be preferred?
That would likely be a question for @Nairodian as he's the one in charge of Space Law and SOP. Ideally if the document updates the guidebook/pda app updates with it. Just to make maintaining it easier.
If it CAN automatically update and still look good, that's the best. If not however, not a big deal, it should just have a warning and version number some where so people can tell if it's outdated from the external site.
