Problem when using "textinsert" plugin: interface not visible

When using the textinsert plugin while the sprintdoc template is in use the plugin's interface for adding, deleting and editing macros doesn't appear. With other templates (dokuwiki for example) it appears. I'm not sure if this is a problem of the template, or the plugin. I have this on two different Dokuwiki installations - both on "hogfather" release and the plugin is marked as compatible.
