Matrix Element Index View Modes: Structured Table vs. Table

What's the difference between these view modes? I seem to remember there only being Display in a table previously, which would show the entries with the drag handle for reordering. But now it seems that both the structured and regular table options do the same thing, or at least I can't work out how to make them behave differently.

I was hoping that the Display in a structured table would show the drag handles, and that the Display in a table option would remove them and introduce the Sort by options at the top of the View dropdown, as per other element indexes. Is that what should be happening? Thanks in advance!

That’s exactly what should be happening. Just tested and it’s working as expected on my end.

What Craft version are you on? Are you getting any JavaScript errors on the page?

Running 5.6.5.1 on all the projects I've tested, and I'm seeing the same on a fresh install with no plugins. The only error that's thrown is the following when you open the field settings from the actions menu.

[Error] Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 () (fieldsettings.js.map, line 0)

Sorry! I somehow missed that this was in reference to Matrix fields. It wasn’t intended that “Display in a structured table” is available as an option there. Just fixed that for the next release. (73b6bb4)
