hass is undefined error following upgrade to HA version 0.110.0

Describe the bug
Following an upgrade of HA to 0.110.0, picture element cards using the state-attribute-element HACS plugin now throw up a "hass is undefined error".

The above is what is produced for a horizontal stack of 3 cards and the configuration for the last of these cards is as follows:

Removing the 'custom:state-attribute-element' part of the config results in the cards being correctly rendered but without the associated attribute detail.
