Preview cards for things like website or even album covers (see screenshots) look really nice. The MH370 cover fits nicely on the feed, despite being a photo with a portrait aspect ratio.
However, actual photos are super tiny. Landscape photos look good, but portrait photos are too small. It looks there's a height limit for photos (200px?) but the feed would look much better without these tiny photos.
The other advantage of having the bigger photos is that people would need to click less on the picture. Currently doing that will lose their place in the feed when they return to it, which is annoying. See #751 .
