It's more of an issue with the driver. Since database name may contain slash, web_context option was added for customization. The implementation has issue but fortunately ClickHouse/clickhouse-java#948 will fix that.

I also thought it is reasonable for a client to support the WEB_CONTEXT part.

for now, still worry that not all drivers and BI tools (including that cloud-based) can support it.
after all, clickhouse HTTP API is almost only used by clickhouse itself.
