Current state of dbt-mysql adaptater

Hello @dbeatty10,

My company is using MySQL databases (version 5.7).
Today, we have 2 choices to start a dbt project, migrate to PostgreSQL or stay with MySQL (and upgrade it to version 8 so we will have more functions available).

I'm curious to know the current state of this adaptater, do you plan to support dbt core version 1.3, and if yes when?
Do you have any other points to consider about using this mysql driver (besides the points already mentioned in the readme)?

Also, I would like to thank you for you work.
I will be happy to contribute to this project.
