Team Nitrogen/KC1 group has worked to develop an overall list of Commons DROs (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/147mDF7nnpypVY5u84fjPmLpPQc-Cn1yfAlWAxcCewlM/edit#gid=0) .

Upcoming product/deliverable includes having metadata reporting standards for DROs completed:

As part of search and index/Findability and Interoperability, we'll be including ontological branches for controlled vocabulary and integration capability (i.e. matching a single cell sample to multiple datasets/assays performed, homologous genes matched between species). My understanding based on discussions within KC1 is KC7 is fully responsible for dataset-level standards, but we want to ensure that any reagent/experimental level standards we work to make are aligned to KC7 efforts and not performing work twice.

A few key questions:

  • Is KC7 working on any other standard construction other than dataset level?
  • What integration efforts are currently being done, and based on what annotations/ontologies?
  • Will it be possible to integrate the forthcoming standards into current KC7 scripts/integration efforts?
  • What, if any, specific formatting is required for forthcoming standards?

Thank you for this. Calcium has the same questions! From what it seems, KC2 is doing metadata for datasets only. KC7 is still deciding their granularity.
