Win10, possible to select only files inside of highlighted selection instead of all? #516

In windows 7, when you select files, only those that are under the highlighted area are selected. So long files names get picked up, but shorted file names are not.

In Win 10, all are selected, despite the highlighted area not reaching the short file names.

Is there a setting that can be changed to restore the way it worked in windows 7?
