We currently have a bit more interest and active development on GTK4 from the whole community.
The Eclipse IDE WG bootstrapped the most recent work with funding Christoph's work in "Linux GTK4 Snippet #1 "Hello World" Working". Now Renesas is funding a few people, including William Riley, Theo Dann-Muirhead, Александър Куртаков and me Jonah Graham.
With an increasing number of people I thought the best way to collaborate would be a project board using GitHub's project feature. I have created such a board. Please have a look at the GTK4 Full Support project.
The goal here is to increase visibility of what we are working on, and reduce duplicate effort where possible. If you are just contributing a PR/Issue on GTK4 you don't need to change your flow, but it would be useful if you could add it to the GTK 4 project:
