Incorporate xextool into single binary? #6
Comments
Unfortunatly xextool is a closed source tool, like iso2god. This project is a reverse engineering port of iso2god with some glitches I've also noticed, and you'r actually experiencing in #3 & #4. At the moment I really dunno why some ISO aren't well decoded, maybe there is a glitch running xextool under 🍷 or iso2god reversed version under mono ... |
Thanks. I found the original author of xextool (xorloser) on twitter (@xorloser) and I asked him if he had considered open-sourcing xextool. He said "When I looked into it ages ago the issue was with an open source de/compression algo source. Are there other open xex tools that have that?" I haven't replied as I don't know the answer - do you? https://twitter.com/xorloser/status/894335475413954560 |
Hum ... no never heard of any kind of open xex tool, but I've never look deeper into honestly |
there are no open source extraction tools for xbox360. Would be nice of him to opensource it. |
I don't know if xextool is open source, but if it is, is it possible to incorporate the subset of functionality that iso2god needs into the source of iso2god itself?
If it was, for Linux users it would mean we only require Mono, not wine as well.
