Hi @maitret - thank you for mentioning this and I'm sorry for being so slow to follow up. I don't think there is a good way to fix this in code, so probably all we can do is document that the audio context needs to be started in order for it to work.

I tried to document an example of how to do this in https://github.com/esonderegger/web-audio-peak-meter/blob/master/README.md#usage-basic. Perhaps there is a clearer way to explain this, though?
