🐞 Bug Report: Gravatar images do not appear

Detailed Description

After activating this plugin, all gravatar avatars disappeared from user profiles. All avatars was replaced with a letter and there is no option to use gravatar at all. This is demonstrated in this screenshot of my profile:

In the discussions setting, there are no options to use gravatar. Furthermore, no default wordpress avatars appear. On our system, we have installed a custom avatar, but the image doesn't appear, as shown in this screenshot:

Expected Behavior

I expected to have the option to use either gravatar or to upload a local image. We can only do the letter.

FAIR: 1.1.0

When I have entered a "custom" avatar the settings still looks as above and the letter is replaced with the image.

FWIW the dropdown on Avatar Source has Gravatar as the other option.

One potential complication is that we are set up as a multisite installation with 3 separate sites.
