research methods for aggregating properties data for collecitons

Would be good to look into using pystac-client for interacting with items in collections exposed via the API. Wondering if it makes sense to search and filter items in collections, develop summary / range data for select properties, and then update collections with those ranges.

This may be part of a larger workflow as we search, sort and filter data for QA/review.
