Can't reorder buffers

The default order minibufexpl presents open tabs in is the order in which they've last been opened; "most recently used" is the only alternative on offer. This is a different order than the buffer number order, which is set by the order of first opening.

I would like to be able to manually change the buffer order, effectively by moving a selected buffer backwards or forwards in the list, as is possible with tabs using :tabmove. Effectively the same request was made in this Stackoverflow question.
