Meeting notices

  • FINOS Project leads are responsible for observing the FINOS guidelines for running project meetings. Project maintainers can find additional resources in the FINOS Maintainers Cheatsheet.

  • All participants in FINOS project meetings are subject to the LF Antitrust Policy, the FINOS Community Code of Conduct and all other FINOS policies.

  • FINOS meetings involve participation by industry competitors, and it is the intention of FINOS and the Linux Foundation to conduct all of its activities in accordance with applicable antitrust and competition laws. It is therefore extremely important that attendees adhere to meeting agendas, and be aware of, and not participate in, any activities that are prohibited under applicable US state, federal or foreign antitrust and competition laws.   • FINOS project meetings may be recorded for use solely by the FINOS team for administration purposes. In very limited instances, and with explicit approval, recordings may be made more widely available.

  • @chris-twiner to present in the next meeting on Project Lifecycle goals. looking for another person to support spearheading any related revisions from the TOC perspective. @mindthegab and @opoupeney to provide support aligning with the Governing Board.
  • @eminty69 to present in the next meeting on the development of a Liason Kickoff strategy, including topics related to proactive project work and ecosystem-wide communication / organization. Looking for another person to support development of the Kickoff strategy.
  • @mindthegab to privately share a preview of the 2025 Strategic Initiatives & Governing Board goals, in preparation for a December presentation from @jgavronsky
  • @psmulovics and @awaiken to collaborate with Karl/Luca recarding the Hackathon, then bring a proposal back to the TOC within 3 weeks.

@psmulovics @eddie-knight If there's room, I would like to share with the TOC our 2025 planning process, the strategic initiatives framework and how the TOC can help. Let me know if this makes into the agenda (either @jgavronsky is planning for a deeper dive on the early Dec TOC meeting).

I don't see a problem adding this after the hackathon topic, so long as we can keep both presentations to 10 minutes each. We'll also need to keep the housekeeping topics to 10 minutes.

    • Glad to see the commitment to spend more time on TOC
    • 2025 planning - how to work on the raising the bar for incubation levels, crossing levels, etc, better incentives
    • FINOS plans to involve the TOC more in the board discussions
    • 3-5 years vision, and working back from that
    • Gab to share the information collected regarding the 2025 strategies in preparation for the @jgavronsky December presentation on the TOC
    • Strategic Initiatives Framework worked well for 2024
    • Try to define cluster of projects able to work in alignment (AI, regtech, etc)
    • Introducing @opoupeney as the new co-CTO role with FINOS, to work on developer personas, external outreach, etc, working closely with @robmoffat
