Audacity quits after 10 seconds #132
Comments
For comparison's sake, the 3.1.3 version of Audacity in Fedora's official repositories works perfectly fine. Audio playback is fine. I can cut audio. I can export the edited audio to a .mp3 file. The .mp3 file plays back fine in mpv. I was never asked about background processes by KDE. 3.1.3 has the non-destructive trimming feature, which is the main thing I need, so I don't need to use the Flatpak to get 3.3, though it would be nice. The official 3.3 Appimage's scaling is completely messed up on my monitor, so I can't really use that either. |
it if crashed, otherwise buried in the logs, it work fine here. |
Nothing in For
I tried again, and got this minimal output from when it started to when it closed (6 seconds):
|
Fedora 38 / KDE Plasma 5.27.8 / KDE Frameworks 5.110.0 / Qt Version 5.15.10 / Kernel 6.5.5-200.fc38.x86_64 (64-bit) / Wayland / NVIDIA
Every time I start Audacity, it will be closed within 10 seconds. Output is not useful:
It's worth mentioning that I got a pop-up from KDE - "Audacity wants to run in the background, do you want to allow it?" I just closed the pop-up instead of saying yes or no, and I have no idea how to get the prompt back. Maybe KDE is killing it.
