🎯 Quick Navigation by Role

For Developers Starting Sprint 4

Start Here:

  1. Review Sprint-3-Implementation.md - understand what's built
  2. Read Sprint-4-Implementation-Guide.md - know what to build
  3. Check mvp-implementation-plan.md - understand the big picture

Key Technical Specs:

  • Excel generation: See Sprint-3-Implementation.md § Architecture Overview
  • API design: See Sprint-4-Implementation-Guide.md § Data Models
  • Authentication: See comprehensive-requirements-v1.md § Authentication

For Product/Planning

Start Here:

  1. sprint-forge-prd.md - Product vision and strategy
  2. mvp-implementation-plan.md - Sprint roadmap
  3. Sprint-4-Implementation-Guide.md - Current sprint goals

For AI Agents Continuing Development

Context Loading Order:

  1. Current Sprint: Sprint-4-Implementation-Guide.md
  2. Completed Work: Sprint-3-Implementation.md

📝 Documentation Maintenance

When to Update This Index

Add new documents to:

  • Implementation Guides: When starting a new sprint
  • Analysis: When doing competitive research or architecture work
  • Archive: When a sprint completes

Update status when:

  • Sprint starts (change from "Planned" to "In Progress")
  • Sprint completes (change to "Complete", move detailed tasks to archive)
  • Major architectural decisions are made

Archive Policy

Archive when:

  • Sprint completes and consolidated guide exists
  • Individual task documents are superseded by implementation guides
  • Documents are outdated but have historical value

Delete when:

  • Document is duplicate with no unique value
  • Information is wrong or misleading
  • Document is draft and never completed

Current Archive:

  • Sprint 1, 2, 3 detailed task documents
  • Individual Sprint 3 task guides (consolidated into Sprint-3-Implementation.md)

🆘 Getting Help

Common Questions

Q: Where do I start if I'm a new developer? A: Read Sprint-3-Implementation.md to understand what's built, then Sprint-4-Implementation-Guide.md for what to build next.

Q: What if I need to understand a specific feature? A: Check the Table of Contents in the relevant implementation guide. All guides have detailed TOCs.

Q: How do I know what's already implemented? A: Each implementation guide has a "Status" section at the top showing completion state.

Q: Where are the API specifications? A: Sprint-4-Implementation-Guide.md has complete API specs for all endpoints.

Q: Where are the test requirements? A: Each task section has "Definition of Done" including test coverage requirements.

📌 Key Principles

Documentation Philosophy

  1. Single Source of Truth: One consolidated guide per sprint
  2. AI-Friendly: Clear structure, complete context in each document
  3. Archival: Historical documents preserved but clearly marked
  4. Navigation: This index makes finding information fast
  5. Maintenance: Update status and archive regularly

Quality Standards

  • Complete: All implementation details in one place
  • Current: Reflects actual development state
  • Clear: AI agents and humans can navigate easily
  • Tested: All code examples work as documented
  • Versioned: Document version and date at top
