Setting segment on user doesn't seem to do anything

I'm setting segment on the user to their subscription tier but this doesn't appear to do anything. User information is attached to events but segment is not included.

Is this actually related to the Segment integration and not a Sentry specific way of grouping users?

Hey! Segment is part of our schema for user at the sentry, could you show an example event where this doesn't work right now? Sounds like a bug we should look at.
