When using Google's NotebookLM it does not facilitate saving of the numbered reference popups that it gives.

Have you been able to try it yourself per chance? It should be relatively obvious if you are able to try it. If you are unable to do this I'll see if I can somehow get you some additional info and a screencast if possible (a lot of the data is not shareable on here that I work with).
