How to override -print-last-dir arg's effect?

There is lfcd(): https://github.com/gokcehan/lf/blob/master/etc/lfcd.sh
I did alias lf=lfcd and so now when I start lf and navigate anywhere and quit it - parental shell cds to there. Just as I initially wanted.
Now what if mid-session while in lf I decide I would like to quit it without changing parental shell's working directory?

How to do that?

It seems like to solve this task I would need to introduce a new mapping for lf (say Q) to quit without -print-last-dir arg taking effect.
Or if that's not really possible as is - maybe it's possible to manipulate what lf would print in that case and then we'd have to read parental shell process's envs and simply cd to its $PWD and then quit - that way we'd finish where we started and parental shell won't have it's $PWD changed by the lfcd() func.
