GUI compilation error

Installation of the groops on Ubuntu 24.04 was done without errors, but after try installing GUI I got some error massage. Two versions were used: current release, and latest version. On the other computer with same OS (Ubuntu 24.04.) installation was successful.

before submitting a bug report, please consult the contributing guidelines and the project code of conduct .

Regarding the compilation error: Please compare the installed Qt and compiler versions (g++) between the two machines via apt list --installed and/or make sure the OS is up to date by running sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade.

Hi @gnssgrid,

since GROOPS, Qt, and g++ are on the same version on both machines, I am not sure where the linker error comes from. There might be a mismatch in the C++ standard libraries. You can check with apt-cache search -n libstdc++ and apt-cache policy libstdc++-XXXX which library versions are installed. If this also yields identical results, I am out of ideas.
