Since I don't have much time, I’ve implemented the TUI in Carch. It's great, but I find it difficult to maintain both. Some people might say that you can't just maintain the scripts, but that's not my view.
As I’m developing Carch to support Fedora Linux, I need to create two separate scripts for the same functionality because I can’t simply copy and paste. Gum isn’t supported by the TUI, and I can’t add support for it since the TUI isn't mine—it's from the "Christitus Tech Linutil Project."
I’ve only included the TUI as an optional feature for Carch, just like I removed GTK support in the past.
By the way, I’m not a Rust developer—I don’t know enough about Rust, and I can't modify the script to support Gum. That’s beyond my current knowledge.
Maintaining two separate scripts would be difficult for me since this is a solo project, and I don't have enough knowledge or resources to make significant progress.
I’m open to discussion, though. If I decide to remove the Rust components, I’ll mention it in the changelog as a reference.
For now, I haven’t finalized the decision, but I’m planning to remove the Rust-related components from Carch.
Once I finish adding Fedora support, I’ll remove the Rust-related code.
