Block Stream Filtering

Goal

The Block Stream has capabilities to enable filtering of the data in the stream. We wish to create a service and related features to enable clients to request a filtered stream.

Intention

We intend to provide a "filtered stream" API via a separate (optional) service.
We intend to offer a powerful and useful filter implementation.
We intend to design to meet customer needs as much as feasible.

Considerations

• There is some early discussion in Slack here that may be useful.
  • The author of that post should be included in discussion and detail design, if possible.
