Please document system requirements for ISO boot

Hi there

I just tried to boot the ISO from your website https://flippyr.am/ on a zoo of older devices (Intel based Thinkpads, AMD Bulldozer Opteron, AMD based thin client, all of them 64bit), and all of them failed to boot in different ways.
Are there certain System requirements for the ISO to boot? EFI? Secure boot?

Doesn't boot on a very new Geekom A8 either (maybe due to secure boot). Debian USB sticks boot fine here.

Unfortunately, the ISO image is booted only if secure boot is off. Please turn it off on your system and let us know if that solves the issue!

Please also mention to unplug any other USB storage devices, I just go the error "Identification of the USB drive failed. Multiple USB devices with the correct number of partitions detected. Please remove other USB drives and reboot."
I will continue my trials, right now I managed to boot two out of eight systems I tried so far. I highly doubt they all had secure boot enabled.

Update: Some older Phoenix BIOS doesn't seem to like the format of the stick and simply fails to POST, while a more traditional stick with a debian installed boots without problems. I don't know how relevant an AMD Sempron single
core CPU is for your research :-)
Update 2: System needs to boot in UEFI mode in order for the stick to boot. If the system doesn't support UEFI, you are out of luck.

There is a bug with the image: The image generated with ArchISO supports both, BIOS and UEFI boot. However, the image with the data partition generated based on the ArchISO image does not support BIOS mode. So currently, UEFI mode is required to boot the image. However, we will try to fix that bug so the image supports BIOS boot as well.

Dell Inspiron 5559, and Dell Optiplex 5050, both failed to boot in legacy mode, and also both failed to boot in UEFI mode (with secure boot disabled). Tried from USB on both, and tried from the internal SD card reader in the 5559.

I had assumed that secure boot would need to be disabled, but others might not, so this should probably be documented on the download page.

I understand that you may prefer not to, but if you want to have an additional option available to users, then it may be relatively little work adapting an existing system with well-tested USB boot capability such as GRML?
