Not working correctly on XE24

Upon activating the "Sign In" option, a card will open that says "Updating".

This card will stay seemingly indefinitely, and cannot be closed.

Neither notifications nor gps seems to do anything in this state.

(sidenote: xe24 does not have appops available in the adb shell, i've attempted to downgrade to an earlier version however i cannot get past the setup screen without the myglass app)

@floppydiskette sorry, I only have xe23 and do not plan to upgrade (or more like downgrade). But @Puzzak wrote that it did work for him: #9. It is possible to add diagnostics mode though, that will show last log messages on the screen. Also I've seen reports on r/googleglass that people found a way to bypass myglass setup.

❗Edit: This might have been a fluke, somehow. I do want GPS to work on my XE-C on XE24, so will find some free time soon to investigate this and try fix it when I can.

I managed to get it to work on XE24 by cloning and building a release build from scratch

And then using these commands over adb to make AnotherGlass become the mock location app

adb shell settings put secure mock_location 1
adb shell settings put secure mock_location com.damn.anotherglass.host

@alii amazing. I never seen XE24, I though they removed timeline support from it. I should copy EE app code to open system settings with location mock toggle to XE (https://github.com/inckie/AnotherGlass/blob/master/glass-ee/src/main/java/com/damn/anotherglass/glass/ee/host/ui/cards/MapCard.kt#L87), if this UI is present on the Glass at all.

I had some problems with an error message "Requires ACCESS_MOCK_LOCATION secure setting"

I'll find some time maybe this weekend to try get this to work.

@alii yes, its actually written in the readme in the repo:

To enable GPS location passthrough on the Glass you will need to give the applicationMOCK_LOCATION permission. Run ADB command adb shell appops set com.damn.anotherglass.glass.ee android:mock_location allow, or tap on the Map card to open Developer settings and set AnotherGlass as GPS mocking application. Restart the service after the change.

Sorry, I did see that, but unfortunately appops is not on XE24 and the alternative commands (for example the ones in my first message above) didn't seem to fully resolve the problem.

@alii got it. Maybe try to open same menu I open on the EE version, but using ADB, until I add it to the XE version.
adb shell am start -a android.settings.APPLICATION_DEVELOPMENT_SETTINGS
I will test it on weekend, maybe constant is a bit different, but it seems to be it from Android source.
