FPGA flash issue with JAM STAPL Player #16

I have an issue with flashing the fpga using the jam STAPL player 2.5 that comes preinstalled on the latest 1.6.2 poky-aero linux. When I run : jam -aprogram /etc/fpga/aero-compute-board.jam, the command fails to program giving me an error code 10: programming failure. It happens immediately at full erase step in the programming.
Has anyone seen this issue before.
