CML comment create command error on on-premise gitlab instance

I am trying to integrate CML in a CI/CD pipeline in our self-hosted GitLab instance but I am getting an error running the pipeline.

My .gitlab-ci.yaml is configured as shown below:

I have setup a personal access token as REPO_TOKEN variable in the project repository.

Note that this config is working on the official GitLab hosting platform.

👋 Looks like its not finding the endpoint. Things to have a look:

• Its your repo private?
• Could you please double check the PAT? Sometimes paste includes spaces

• The repo is internal (can be accessed by any logged in user but not external users).
• PAT is intact and correct.

Maybe I should try making the repo public?

Does the PAT have the correct permissions (api, read_repository, write_repository)? If it's a PAT from a bot account, have you given said bot account access to your private repo?

One way to check the token has access permissions to the repo would be to add the following line to your workflow:

curl -H "PRIVATE-TOKEN: ${REPO_TOKEN}" https://<INSTANCE_URL>/api/v4/projects/<PROJECT>/merge_requests/<MR_ID>/notes

Insert the following values into the command:

• INSTANCE_URL - the URL of your private gitlab instance
• PROJECT - the project id (OWNER%2fPROJECT, using %2f instead of /
• MR_ID - Id of the merge request

This should show all notes (comments) on the merge request if the token is valid.
